Lots planned: Carnival, mate's stag do, trip to Oxford, a little smoke (not allowed here!)

Was thinking I'll like to do a little ride

Can't be doing with bringing the fixie back from Singapore, so there's the Olmo roadie in the shed and a Gary Fisher hack slowly dying in the GF's house...

Now, do I bring the LOOK shoes and get back on the roadie, or bring the SPD shoes (trainer style) and look an idiot on the Olmo so force myself to go and rescue the Gary Fisher???????

a little smoke

To digress for a moment, I saw a thing on the lunchtime news about a legal cannabis type thing, apparently composed of herbs and synthetic chemicals. Some chap they talked to, who regularly smoked it, said he was disturbed to find out he was putting chemicals into his body.

He doesn't think that just smoking anything might be putting chemicals into his body? Or indeed, eating, drinking, breathing....

Bring the Looks, and wear the SPDs en route. Or not, I dunno.

There was some MP a while back who, during a debate on smoking, whilst another MP was droning on about the number of chemicals in cigarette smoke, pointed out the number of chemicals present in a cucumber or something...

I know just how you feel, fashions change so rapidly in England. I just buy a new wardrobe every visit, it's the only way to avoid embarrassment.

What's the deal with the Wednesday rides? Where do you meet and what time?

South side of Blackfriars Bridge around 7pm is the usual plan, go for a ride and then get fed & watered, very informal.
I'll sort out a proper plan next week, post it for the London lot and let you know.

I'll also be down south for a few days at the end of August, just before we move to Canada for good. It would be nice to meet up with a few of the London crew who I have never met... all the better if Zim's in town. Luckily I left one of bike's at my folks' place in anticipation of a ride...
