Back to School on a Thursday?!

When I was a schoolgirl, back in the dim light of the dawn of pre-history, the return to school following the long summer break was always on a Wednesday.

You were unlucky. When I was a kid, we always went back on a Thursday.I always imagined it was a more humane return for both the teachers and the kids..kind of eases them in gently before hitting them with a full on proper week.

My wee one rode her new Islabike to school this morning for the first time and set an entirely new record for the 4 mile school run.
1 hour 15 minutes! Which is the slowest school run ever. (takes me 20 or 30 mins usually..) I think I've pushed my bike faster before.
But,it was lovely riding with her and she enjoyed pedalling herself, "like a proper cyclist." I'm sure she'll get more confident on the bike and (I really hope) faster in time.

I'm learning a much needed lesson in patience...

well done you. you wouldn't believe the number of arses that take their kid to school in the car despite you needing to be virtually living in the playground to get a place there…

I was back this week, biggest waste of time. Havent done much, but wasted 3 hours there, and got to go back tomorrow, to get an appointment with head of 6th form to sort it out.
Slightly pointless in doing that i think, and some new thing makes it even more pointless, which just goes to show about money cuts/idiots.

I shall be doing less then that!
I can resit a subject that i nearly passed, but failed, because school doesn't get funding
Soooo, I might have to do English Language(now don't all laugh) instead, with photography and 3D, which means i wont be in 6th form much
Although, i am glad about that because the new 6th formers are, well, a word I'm not going to put.
They were in the 6th form common room for an hour doing time tables, was just them and teachers, already leaving litter about, besides the bins, and when we(upper 6th form) were talking to the teachers and in there, they sat around making alot of noise, and opening and slamming windows

I do some pretty nerdy subjects. Maths, F.Maths, Computing. I've took Physics and see how it goes, if I do crap at it again I'll drop it at Christmas.

There's a decent teacher that does it who is a laugh so I'm hoping it will be alright.
3D and photography are same teacher, I don't mind him, so that should be alright.

But this should mean I don't have the so and so of a teacher that I don't get along with.
