Mrs FF finaly decided she was an Badminton racquet fro Christmas. She's beginners but has good basic skills due to former Tennis playing. Am looking to spend say £40-50

Any advice/recommendations?

Errr - read what you are about to post first

I suspect tablet or Mac autocorrect. Both can make perfectly sensible typing into utter gibberish without any help from sausage fingered humans.

FF a while since I was a badmintonista but Carlton were always decent
Well - I expect my sausage fingers are just as flawed

Sorry @Fab Foodie - it was the final ask that just had to be responded to

Also - no Racquet advice here

I should know something about this seeing as I have to buy stuff for Son2 who plays for the county. He uses Babolat racquets and it's all about head heavy or head light, depending on whether you're a power or control player, so weight and balance need to be considered together and the lightest might not always be the best choice. String tension comes into it as well and he has a record of what string tensions his racquets have. Go for something neutral if you're not sure and most manufacturers will grade their racquets for control or power.

I wish I only had to spend 40 or 50 quid on a racquet
