After many thousands of miles the wife's TSDZ2 has developed a fault. I think it is the sacrificial plastic intermediate gear. She was on full assist climbing a hill in a tall gear when it sounded like a grinding sound. I've ordered a replacement, comes in a few days. £15 so not expensive

If anyone else wants a brass replacement I have one tucked away somewhere. I fitted it quite quickly after getting the motor having read various horror stories re the plastic one failing only then for the motor to pack in when just over a year old. Never got it going again and flogged off various parts.

I've jerry-rigged the motor setup to check it's functional. I plugged in the thumb throttle to activate the motor. All seems well, display functions, walk mode is enabled. I changed the basic settings. Final test will be on the bike, then I'll know,if its needs a firmware update. (I've got the programmer kit coming. The early motors were known to have very low assistance until the higher levels were engaged
