Bagbnb is new to me. Its an online app which lets you leave luggage at different places around the world for a few hours or even a few days.
I am going to Tuscany next month to ride in the Tuscany Road 2018 and needed somewhere in Pisa to leave my bike box for a week.
Bagbnb has a storeage facility in a hotel 100m from the train station and I can get a shuttle train from the airport to the train station. Ideal.
Before booking I read through the Bagbnb conditions. It states it is €5 per day for each item, regardless of size and that includes bike boxes. It actually states that in the FAQs section.
I made my booking and paid my €5 per day.
I thought that this may be of interest to other riders and posted it on the Tuscany Road FB site. Someone who had used the Bagbnb service at the same storage facility to store his bike box replied and said that when he arrived, the hotel said that bike boxes were €10 per day and he had to pay the extra.
I wasn't having that and contacted the hotel and they confirmed that it was €10 per day and I would have to pay the extra. They said this was an ongoing problem with Bagbnb.
Fortunately, Bagbnb has a chat line and I could explain the situation to them and they said they would sort it.
I have now received a mail from the hotel. They aplologised for getting me involved in an internal squabble and will refund me my fee when I drop my bike box off.
I will report back how the rest of the story goes. But the storage idea sounds good. If it works.
Has anybody else used bagbnb?
