Of course, as with so many things this could work both ways. What if they decided to have a bit of fun at your expense?
What, like try to scam us out of some money?

If I click on that how much will it cost me?
I saw a similar thing a few years ago. 419 fraudsters had to join 'The Church of the Angelic Cottager' before their potential victim would do business with them.If I click on that how much will it cost me?![]()
It's taking you way longer to craft your replies than it is for this person to fire off page 2 of his script. You're not even through to an actual scammer yet, more likely just a young kid in an internet cafe doing the donkey work firing off scripts until he tells his boss he's sure it's a potential victim and not a "joker".
If you have this much time to invest, try joining 419eater and learn the intricacies of how the scams and the hierarchies work.
Commenting on CC on how I'm wasting my time on the internet is somewhat ironic
Can you quote for me where I said you were wasting your time on the internet?
I said that if you have the time to invest, you could learn to do it well.
I used to devote hours to it, but I don't have the time now. If you do, then great.
But by all means make it about me, and just how much time I spend on Cycle Chat. And the real irony there is that I post about once a day, if that.
It was boring to start with.
There's a guy on YouTube tedtalks who does this stuff. Way funny (well the first couple of episodes are then it gets kinda samey).
