Player moves to club for more money therefore deserves to be stamped on?

Balotelli's move was not one you'd make to regain your balance.
Given this is Balotelli and his previous conduct, if he had intended to stamp I would expect him to have done it properly.

As for Scott Parker, his behaviour puts him firmly in the Ashley "I almost crashed my car when they offered me only £55,000 a week" Cole category. I doubt many West Ham fans felt sorry for him

I really don't think that football has anything to learn from rugby wrt violent conduct...
Certainly not. If a rugby player had done it Parker would not have been compos mentis. But then professional rugby players rarely need to resort to violence outside the Laws whereas in wendyball most of the free kicks are for exactly that.

Speaking as a West Ham fan, I wish Scott Parker all the best - he didn't owe us anything.

Balotelli's action looked like a stamp to me.

Most free kicks are for violence? Get real

Most free kicks are for foul play. What forms of foul play in Wendyball don't involve an element of violence?
Any which are not the intentional use of force and are contrary to the laws. Which is most of them, as you would note if you picked any match at random.

As I say, football has nothing to learn from rugby.

To quote a colleague and friend who is an ex-championship match official; "don't be naive, nothing out there happens by accident, they are professionals."

This is also a favourite quote of at least two premiership referees both of whom have said it in my hearing when presenting to other (rugby) referees.

Which is no way demonstrates the intentional use of force.

If you say so.

User482. Are you really a naive as you appear on this matter?

Professional footballers use force intentionally to foul opponents. Repeatedly. In every match they play. The players know this, the officials know this, and virtually every spectator of the so-called beautiful game knows this.

This blatant racism against Mr Balotelli is most shocking. The man is a very nice chap and has showed a lot of generosity around these parts and just like other pro sportsman, including cyclists he's not trying if he's not cheating - it's competitive sport, it's all about gaining an advantage on an opponent and is present in most sports. COME ON CITY, COME ON YOU BLUES !!
