Now I know how to apply it (done it several times) so I'm not after that sort of advice.
My problem is this - I'm looking to change my bar tape and want something that looks good (yes I'm a bike tart  )
The problem is seeing it on the roll or on the box it comes in (the way most sites advertise it) doesn't show you what it's going to look like when applied so I'm looking for your photos of applied tape along with any Gucci little tips to add to the appearance (like using electrical tape backwards on the bars first to stop it fraying).
Lets see what you've got :becool:

Bought some of that grey/black/white camouflaged stuff.

Looked OK on the roll but looks rubbish when applied.

Off and in the bin now.

A couple more aborted attempts like this one and this'll end up costing more than the shifters :cursing:

Stick to one colour. I like the carbon effect cinelli cork stuff for the commuter as its a slight gloss and is hard wearing. Got black on the training bike, and pale blue on best bike.

If its a daily bike, black saddle and black bar tape. TBH black is the only colour for a saddle as colours look a mess quickly.

I've got a charge spoon that's not quite black (more a dark suede grey) so was looking for something to complement that, yes I know you can't see the saddle with my a**e covering it but I'm thinking more for the bling factor at the mid-ride refreshment stop
Looked at lizard skin but there are a few different types and I'm not sure which way to go (£25 a pop), that's why I was requesting a few pictures.

That's spooky V, I was looking at just that. The place I found it is in Australia though

I've found what looks like the same stuff in the UK but because they only picture the tape rolled up and with the clear wrapper round it I can't tell if it's embossed the same as the Australian stuff.

ALL PLEASE NOTE - I realise I'm being a tart and that 'it's just tape' but this is for my bestest going out bike so I want it to be just right
