Bar Tape

Hi,

I am in the process of changing the cables and outers of an old road bike, so I have peeled the bar tape back to get the new ones in. Do I have to replace the bar tape? (it is fairly new). I cannot get it to stick back down, but is this essential?

Nope, just re-tape at the end with electrical tape. Some bar tape doesn't even come with sticky-backing.

Ah, ok thanks, good news. Saves me time and means that there won't be anymore "surprise" packages in the post for the wife to find.

should be able to reuse , as long as it hasnt been on too long
