Sorry, can I slightly hijack this thread? Has anyone done double wrap tape, the current one is passable but I've heard double is more comfortable?

I've got Specialized S-Wrap cork tape on my most used bike. It's not cheap but it's very comfortable and has lasted well, even though it was my first attempt at wrapping.

Well I do wear glasses 🤓 but there's black and red on the frame as well

Yes you can double tape bars or better fit inserts some thing like these , https://www.wiggle.co.uk/fizik-bar-gel-2-set . There are much cheaper on Ebay and other sites. Tbh what i do is just tape on some old bar tape to the bits of the bars i use most before wrapping with new bar tape. if you double wrap bars they in my humble opinion look bulky and not very good.

You can also use an old inner tube under the bar tape 👍
