Go into any city centre on a Friday or Saturday night and you'll see flocks of ladies wearing much much less - not saying your old chap is on the pull though ;-)

I was told thatthis was a test of your age and maturity!

Pass aforementioned scantily dressed ladies and you think lustful thought - young and immature
Pass aforementioned scantily dressed ladies and you think "they must be cold" - older, mature, wise and responsible

Whilst I imagine I definitely now fall into the latter group, I've never been part of the former one

Personally, I think skirts in this weather are stupid - a bit like high heels in any weather.

I always think women cycling with high heels on looks really unsafe. Is it?

I also have no problems keeping my legs warm, even when it's down near 0 degrees. It's generally my upper half that needs a bit more in cold weather.

^^^ Nice legs there, by the way

I saw a man today cycling in shorts, he was pedalling faster than he really needed to on the flat, maybe to keep warm:cold: i think ill stick to my thermals and tights

It's the same in fell-running

I can turn up for races in torrential rain, & even when there's 5" of snow on the ground, & there's runners (young/old, male/female) lining up in just shorts & a club-vest!!

When I started doing it. I'd be out in the same events in t-shirt, long-sleeve top, hat, gloves!! - but still in shorts (legs dry quicker than lycra running tights!)

As I got a bit better, I'd drop down to a t-shirt & club vest (hat/gloves = temperature accordant)
