The site shows £499.99 to me, so maybe the site will update shortly?

I must admit for it's price that is a great value bike, pretty awesome for a machine you can rag in the poor weather leaving your chief bike for the more glorious of weather. Very tempting if only I had the spare cash!

I've got the Revolution Sport which I think is the same frame. A great bike, done hundreds of miles on it, very comfortable, reliable and I would not hesitate to light tour on it. Only complaint from me is the saddle but probably my a..e rather than the product.

Is there any mention of how long the sale will be on for at all? I would really like this bike for some touring and commuting with general running of errands but I might end up having to wait a few weeks or maybe months before I can afford to buy it even at the sale price.

Well, this thread caught my eye! I've been thinking about getting a tourer (and daring to get one with drops!) for a while, and the only touring I'm interested in is quiet roads and canalpaths etc. I'm not going to be bumping down tracks in Vietnam, so a tourer at the bottom end of the toughness scale would be fine for my needs, I hope. But I'm stuck on sizing... It seems they have only a 46cm frame in stock.

Now, the website's sizing guide says that 155cm (my height) is either a 44cm or 48cm frame for a Women's Road Bike. But it also says that it's 50cm for a Touring Bike (gender not specified). I find it hard to believe, though, that there would be all that many adults that are a lot shorter than me, so who would be buying a 46cm frame, then?

I'll probably try ringing them in the morning, but is there anything particular I should ask them? Is it too much of a risk to buy it online without having the chance to try it out?

I wondered the same thing - I'm a bit taller than you (170cm) but was confused about the sizing too, and considered getting one of these. They're compact frames so the seat tube sizes are small compared to bikes with horizontal top tubes - when I rang EBC, they suggested I'd probably be best on a 46cm (but might manage a 49cm). According to the size charts for standard frames, I'd be on a 54cm for touring bikes and 54/57cm for women's road bikes, so the difference is quite big. I haven't tried one out, though, so am not sure about the reach/top tube length, which is more of a concern to me.

Hello. I had a go on one of these from the newcastle branch of the ebc and although i cant remember the exact frame size( it was one of the smaller sizes) i found the reach to be quite long and i was stretched..I'm 5'8"...the frame seems rather long for the size.. but then again you should try before you buy..

I rang them this morning and they said that 5'3" was really the minimum height for that frame. So not for me...

The duration of the sale is not as important as the stocking levels. It looks like the stock is shifting as there's only one size left on the web site.
