I'm currently reading Mr.Allsop's book, "...Barring Mechanicals" and had a real pang of guilt last night at 00.23 when I finally turned the light out 72 pages in. I'd started reading when I went to bed and the more I read, the more I thought it'd be an injustice if I didn't read through the night and finish it when the book finished.

It's bloody gripping and a great read, I'd recommend it for anyone who doesn't know what they want for Christmas!


Downside is it's making me think a 'bent would be a good idea...

Barring Mechanicals really is the gift that keeps on giving. Kind words pop up at the most unexpected of instances, and so often in the moment I need them most. The book has easily repaid the time and effort I put into writing it, and I only hope my helpers and readers feel the same sense of satisfaction that I am getting from it.

I could not, and would not have done it without the members of this forum, and I hope I am able one day to repay my debt to you all.

My copy arrived today. I must say I did not realise it was written by one of our very own until after I had ordered it. It seems it covers a route reasonably near to Attrick Towers too. I am looking forward to a good read, scone, brew.
