Avoid Abyssinian's if you want a quiet, docile cat. We have a half abyssinian tabby, manic, hates being left on his own, gets everywhere, opens all the cupboards. We thought he was just a tabby.

We had two half abyssinian cats. Only got the one now. Both hate(d) being picked up, but love cuddles. Very very affectionate. Into everything. And amazing climbers. And very vocal.

Ours will climb up you if you ignore him but also hates being picked up. And yes, quite a vocabulary!
