You're all right, there are boxes in stores - Sainsburys has one. Its not exactly prominent though. I need to open my eyes more.

My local hardware shop has made one from a 45 gallon oil drum. You can't miss it.

you could ask if they will provide one at yours seeing as it is very PC to recycle anything
