[QUOTE 3342685, member: 259"]I got 5/7 so I wouldn't be too keen on coming round to my place for a nice mushroom risotto if I were you

Same score as you; I'd guess you had the same answers, too. I don't think Jew's Ears are particularly delicious, simply edible, and although False Chanterelles aren't as nice as true Chanterelles, they aren't at all bad. Ridiculous comment after the quiz: "Well, knowing your Chanterelle from your False Chanterelle could be a lifesaver" Total BS!!!

3/7 ... I knew one, as I have a packet of dried ones at home, given to me.

If they had a "Is this a mushroom, yes or no?" quiz, featuring mushrooms or tractors, I'd probably score better.

6/7. Although I would have said the Destroying Angel was edible until I remembered the name! Have seen Death Cap in the woods near my mum's. TBH I have her review anything I pick, she ain't been wrong yet.

I picked some once that, according to the book, were toxic to some people, yet others could eat the mushrooms quite happily, and the only way to tell was to eat one! We buried them...
