This may be of interest to some of you. A series about the death of Marco Pantani. Narrated by Hugh Dennis (real name Pete, apparently). So now I am trying to work out if one of the members here is him.

His first name is Peter. Hugh is his middle name.

I'm about half way through. There's some interesting parts to it but it is very repetitive (a bit like watching ITV) where you get about 15 - 20 mins of content in a 30 mins program. The rest are repeated soundbites / recaps, which is more noticeable when listening to multiple episodes back to back.

I've listened to all the episodes, and some of it is repetitive. I thought it also went on too much about EPO which we all know about, but Pantani , apart the 99 Giro blood test result, wasn't accused of using the stuff, which comes more relevant as the series goes on.

If anyone hasn't read Matt Rendell's book The Death of Marco Pantani, I would heartily recommend it.

Makes you wonder, why would he not use his wonderful first name?

Is it because someone might mix it all up and call him D. Hugh Pennies?
