Didn't Paul Sherwen make a comment yesterday to the effect that in his day there were only 2 English speakers in the TdF, maybe 3 if you counted Sean Kelly?

WWE fighters mostly come from a wrestling background, so not inconceivable they fancy their chances at Mix Martial Arts....

the same they are not, WWE is entertainment, UFC or MMA is fighting, .....

The mass publicity before the hastily arranged fight laid heavily on the 'The Fighting Irish' slant on MacGregor, the same happened all the time in heavyweight boxing, the 'great white hope stuff'..

The hooha over the original bloke's medical problem..
the 'is he scared' or 'is he really got broken ribs'

Like the WWE, a money making organisation ...

They are British, funded by the British too. Similar to the Ryder Cup when we (England, Scotland, Italy etc) compete as Europe.

No, it's funded by people who buy a TV licence and its remit has always been wider than serving the British.

Regardless, as a British licence fee payer, I would like it to be more accurate in its coverage.
