The two weather forecasting sites I use are:

and
Met office (horse's mouth rather than once or twice reinterpreted/repackaged)

Annoyingly, the BBC forecasters usually spend the first thirty seconds of their pitch telling you what the weather has done today, before getting onto the forecast of what it should do.

The forecast summary wordy bit is for the whole East Midlands, which has coastline. The hour-by-hour bit along the top is more localised.

I'm not sure I would count Lincolnshire as part of the East Midlands, either way the wordy bit covers way to big an area to have any relevance.

No, not being thick, probably the weather in your area is not sufficiently adverse as to affect cycle path usage, or perhaps it's a regional thing.

The new £29 million Leeds Bradford Cycle Superhighway sometimes gets a sprinkling of grit, at least on the route east of Leeds, although it seems hit and miss which bits get done. Not sure how long this will go on for though given nor the council's predeliction for claiming poverty while spending £500k on refurbishing a meeting room...

It's not true then that so few use it.That cyclists are given their own salt bag.Saves employing a wagon driver.
