Beans on toast, covered in cheese with a fried egg and pickle on the side.
:hungry:

:hungry: indeed. Although pickle? Never tried that.

Fried bread is heavenly. Done right, it's basically a way of holding bacon flavoured fat together long enough to eat it...

Nom nom nom...

Well, when I was 19 a friend and I worked out that:
Beans and toast
Egg and beans
Egg and toast
Cheese and toast
Cheese and pickle
Cheese and pineapple

Though we never got as far as adding the pineapple on top.

BoT can be the perfect emengency meal, very short prep time, moderate cals. Also it is a meal of choice in its own right.

Additions: Worcester Sauce, HP sauce, cheese (grated or solid), Tabasco is best.

<screech of culinary brakes>

Pineapple on beans?

I'm not seeing that. I agree on the pineapple and cheese, and indeed pineapple with ham, or gammon. But I'm not sure about the tomato sauce aspect of the beans.

Although I love pineapple on pizza. Hmmm....

Something we sometimes had for Saturday lunch was what my Dad called "hammy eggy cheesy topside", which was toast, with a slice of ham on, then a fried egg, then grated cheese on top. I can see how pineapple would go with that (between the ham and egg).

Lea & Perrins worcestershire sauce
This should be made "Sir Lea & Perrins" it is sauce royalty.

Anyway getting back to the original question "what happened to beans with a full English"

I have just seen a can in Tesco "All day breakfast" and amongst the non meat sausages the never seen a pig bacon and the non edible mushrooms there they are "beans"

based on this i conclude the removal of beans from a full english and the publics conscious , and should be a matter for Wikileaks to investigate
