I've just got home after having a week back in Essex/Norfolk and was amazed to see beards everywhere!

And watching the TV there are cyclists, cricketers, golfers with whiskers.Didn't know the country was being so hirsute. Is it a trend?

I might not shave for a week or two (out of pure laziness) but would feel uncomfortable and itchy with a full beard.

Do you sport facial hair? :eek:

I once grew a tache when i was old enough to have one to feel like a grown up.Never had one since and i have never grown a beard,not do i want to.

I have sported beards at various stages of life and currently sport a goatee. I have never been bothered by the 'itch' so don't mind growing a beard when the mood suits.
 
the groovers of Shoreditch are loving the beards. i've been to a few gigs recently where it was facial hair central. spotted a couple of groovers in long 'formal' shorts and a full face of hair heading east from Liverpool Street.

be a hipster, grow a beard.

I've been bearded for years, once my good lady persuaded me to shave it of, she didn't like it, I quickly got p***** off with having to keep shaving and I quickly grew it back.

Ditto ..... I'm stuck with my goatee for now anyway , as I've just got back from the South of France with a sun tan. I would probably be left with an eerily pale chin if I shaved now. Being bald as a coot, I don't have many hairstyle options (can hardly ask the barber for a mohican or a mullet), so I like to vary my beard a bit from time to time.

could not grow one even if my life depended on it . well maybe after a year you might see something:popcorn: . i only have to shave once a week:wahhey: . in fact most the ladies on here could probably grow one quicker than me :whistle:

I was like that in my teens and twenties and found it annoying to be surrounded by lads my age who were shaving every day, I remember one lad who was shaving twice a day.

My brother had a full (ginger) beard (he's blond) when he was in the 6th form; he hasn't had one since as he's a fireman.

And one of my best mates (two years younger than me) had a beard when he was 15! :eek:

I used to have a beard when I was a climber; it was part of the look along with a North Cape piley jacket worn permanently.

I actually think the current beard fashion has grown up as people are seeing how manly Muslim men look with a decent beard. Middle-eastern fashion, perfume and food are also working their way into the mainstream.
