Had a rare tailwind for todays return commute, the usual Friday legs feeling was banished as I sped home in good time.

1-Hills
2-Wind
3-Punc*ur*s

I recall a day so windy a month or so back that I was struggling to go downhill. Pretty steep, too. I'm sure if I'd stopped pedalling I would have gone back up it!

Now you know Jimbo will be along later to tell you why that would be impossible Jez

Living near the sea ( 1 mile over open fields) I've had to get used to head winds . At first it really used to get me down , until I realised it's all about your state of mind. I have learnt to drop down a gear or three mentally as well as literally. Get your head round that you're still going to get there, it's just going to take a bit longer. Still, not nice. And don't mention the days when the wind comes around just in time to give you a head wind on the way home as well :¬(

+1

Make a point of going out in the windiest, wettest weather, then after that everything else is so much easier...
