Because of Covid-19 and my Gym is Closed I had to put my bicycle in the Balcony with a trainer ( that I just bought ) is very quiet so this issue had nothing to do with noise. Next Day concierge asked me to please move my bicycle to the Bike Storage area of the bulding, I explained him that it was on a Trainer that I'm using to do exercise during Covid-19. It never respond back so I assumed all was settled. Until this morning (3 weeks later) that I saw him and he told me again that because Covid-19 lockdown is been relaxed I should removed the bike from the balcony. I didn't respond anything.

I read all the "lease agreement" of the building and there is not mention of this or anything similar (The only thing is not to hang clothes in the Balcony Area)

Can They really do anything about this to force me to removed the bike from my balcony?

Well they can certainly keep asking and become less co-operative with you on other issues.

But they cant force you in the absence of any policy/agreement that you've formally acknowledged.

As always in life, pick your battles. What do you stand to gain/lose in each scenario? Whatever you choose, all the best to you

You could do it in the flat with fan. My mate has some issues with a nosey neighbout at his flat in Ghent. He's out loads, either at work or on his bike. One of his neighbours put a note on his door about using it, he suspects it's the neighbour that hoovers at silly o'clock.

Theoretically, if it's not mentioned in the rental contract, and not covered in any kind of "catch-all" clause they've no right to even be intruding upon your privacy and talk with you about it. However, you really need to speak to someone properly qualified in that field of legal expertise.

Go and cycle around outside instead in the fresh air? It's spring :okay:
(all assuming this is currently allowed in your country of course)

Is the balcony only accessible to you, or is it in a communal area, one that may restrict access for others?

I presume they have an on-site bike storage facility because they don’t want people storing bikes on balconies.

It’s a tricky issue if the managing agent is getting annoyed as they are working for the freeholder to keep the block looking nice. If they don’t allow washing then they are going to be picky about this type of stuff. Do you have a residents association that you can raise it with. Do other people have odd things on their balconies?
