The special edition tripel hops etc are quite nice, but I maintain that the original just can't really be improved on!

The very first time they came out though I had a complete breakdown in a Brussels supermarket, as the cashier wouldn't let me have them, but in a language I didn't understand (I don't speak French or Flemish!). I was just being told off in public with a load of fed up people waiting in the queue behind me and I didn't understand a word and was desperate to try them! My mate thought it was absolutely hilarious. 😭 Bastards.

Turns out they were part of some sort of special offer, and not directly available for sale, as some nice bloke behind me explained.

I've stayed in the hotel, very nice place 👍

We enjoyed an overnight stay there some years ago - also bought a small (5cl) bottle of their malt whisky. I did try their whisky infused dark beer (11.5 abv) but not really to my taste.

it was still good. It is. A really poky dessert stout. 12.5%
