I have a really great little mini thing I got from Decathlon but can't see it there - very small takes no room but loud enough - should be compulsory for all the racers who woosh past me.

I have two for both MTB's. Totally quiet until you need it, and it makes a nice 'ting'.

+1 for one of these. I bought one after @fossyant recommended it and I've not regretted it.

+2 from me. Got these on both road bikes and they do the job nicely.

Timber bell for me. Switch it on and it jingles away on its own, and alerts folk of my approach in a very non-authorative way. Switch if off and it's totally silent even on very tech off roading.
