Try one of these - £1.25 at Wilkinsons:

Or which Poundland will sell you something that looks identical (to my untrained eye) for a whole 25p less, as I later found out...
Mrs ND has one on her bike and it does the job a treat and sounds like a proper bike bell. The sticker looks like it is easily removed, although Mrs ND has decided to leave it on hers.

I like the sound from a brass bell, I have two, one looks like this one, but it's still sitting in my bike bits box as it was too narrow to fit one my main bike (keep meaning to try it on another bike), the other one is similar but with a different fitting mechanism to the bars.

I like the sound a brass bell makes, not too loud and a pleasant sound. I have found in the past that bells with plastic bits don't seem to suit me as the plastic bit has been the weak point, whereas that brass bell has now been on my bike for about 4 years I think.

I've gone off the idea of a Crane for the Raleigh Sports, as I found a huge 2 chime bell, made by Electra, that suits better. I also got one for my 26" tourer/commuter. Crane can go on the Technium.

Is this the Scottish Hogmanay thread or an advert for whisky http://www.bells.co.uk/

If you want a large selection of bells, try Really Useful Bikes they have a large selection of Ding dong bells: http://www.reallyusefulbikes.co.uk/_shop/1809/ and a selection of brass and chrome: http://www.reallyusefulbikes.co.uk/_shop/bells--brass/

I was bought the coffee cup one for Xmas by my parents: http://www.reallyusefulbikes.co.uk/_shop/1809/trimobil-coffee-cup-bell/

I may have to pay Rob a visit to see if I can get one to fit my handlebar! There are some that are similar to mine but different ways of clamping on the bars (besides it's interesting to visit his workshop and see what bikes/cargo bikes etc he has in!:okay:
