I'd be inclined to exhaust all avenues with the supplier and manufactuer before trying any remedial work.. looks like transit damage to me; how was the packaging it came in? Bear in mind that ally work-hardens so even if you bend it back it'll only ever be "near" (probably with a compound bend as the area around the bend will most likely deform rather than the bent area itself, on account of now being harder).

Also be aware that the rim will probably be weaker in this area once bent back; how critical this would be though I can't say. If you do have a crack at redressing it I'd put it in a padded vice (if possible) and use a large, soft drift (such as a piece of 20-25mm softwood dowel or some engineering plastic) to pursuade it back somewhere near to where it started..
