In between here and there
I don't care what anyone spends on their cycling stuff whether its a Cycle King £99 MTB or a top of the range 10k bike, and I don't think what I spend is anyone else's business, bar me and my platinum amex card. I have loved dearly every bike I have bought right up to the moment I sold it and replaced it with my new bling!

I think the only cock would be the person judging somebody based on their choice of car. Oh and assuming they know the figures better than somebody who's owned one. Oh and not knowing the real use its been put to, or perhaps failing to detect the irony in describing it as a shopping car.

Oh biggest cock of all? Taking a light hearted post, and posting stupid insults

touched a nerve did I?

Does this make me a mug?
Not in my opinion! If you had been persuaded to make a purchase because such and such had been said about things, and had bought because of what had been said, and didn't really consider your own use of it, then (maybe ) you might be a mug!

I'm not saying don't buy stuff!

I agree. As with everything from silly little mobile phones to shiny German cars to cool bikes, the gullible are far too willing to get their wallets out for no more gain that the smug feeling that comes with temporarily having something they perceive to be better/flasher/more up to date that that which their neighbours possess. It's a sad indictment on life and society that people attach so much importance to the pursuit of such things.

Even so, having bikes because you enjoy them isn't bad, even having 10 bikes isn't bad :bicycle::bicycle::bicycle::bicycle::bicycle::bicycle::bicycle::bicycle::bicycle::bicycle:
