Goldfinger. Lock the thread now.
Not according to Bauer media listeners. I missed it, but apparently it was number 6 on their list.
Number 1 has to be Live and Let Die then, surely.

I can't stand Paul (bloody) McCartney but Live & Let Die is a cracking tune and one of the best Bond themes.

It'll never come up in any pub quiz but it's worth knowing... just in case it does crop up in a pub quiz, that Hazel Dean is the only artist to have appeared in the title sequence of a Bond movie (to date); For Your Eyes Only.

Nobody mentioned Adele yet?

My favourite bond themes weren't real ones, but pretend ones penned by Adam & Joe for Quantum of Solace...

My link to all the songs is a 'hit parade' and is from Bauer, so I suspect that is their countdown.

Live and Let Die is number one.

Anyone else been listening to the top 10 Bond songs being played last week and this on some Bauer media group radio stations, in the run up to the release of the new Bond film this week?
Today they are at number 5 in the countdown towards number 1. So why have they just played the best ever Bond song? That of course being Carly Simon's Nobody Does it Better, theme tune of The Spy Who Loved Me.

So what is your favourite Bond song?

There are about 24 of them, so too many to post a poll. And anyway, anyone who disagrees with this one is just WRONG!
(The film was quite good too, considering it was Roger Moore).

I always knew that you had good taste.

If you know the beef between Monty Norman and John Barry you'll appreciate this, so fantastically excruciating in its awfulness...

Duran Duran. Totally 80’s. I was a 10 year old boy and this just seemed amazing.

The only song that comes to mind during a James Bond topic is Live and let Die although my favourite is the Duran Duran one. Yes, that 1980s. It was fashionable to forget the fashion of this era (much like journalists came up with MAMIL, so they also thought it was great to tell people to forget the embarassing 80s), but no, the 80s was a crazy time (and not just because i was a teen back then). Those padded shoulders, the start of electronic synthesizer music, electronics were at a turning road with ghettoblasters, calculators, digital watches, when Escort XR3i in white were proudly shown off, when a car done 0-60 in 8 seconds was considered really fast, when there was a myriad of home computers to choose from and the nerdy kids used to visit Lasky's and fiddle with the computers, hifi separates was a thing and Sony Trinitron sat in a corner, the Hart to Hart guys drover their old Mercedes SL and Magnum was toyboy'ing around in a Ferrari 328 with the Miami Vice duo in their Testarossa.

Ah, nostalgia. Ok, so back to James Bond...
