When is the best time of year for buying at discount ? I assume that once next years models are available prices for 2014 models will drop considerably. When do the new models usually become available ?

End of summer usually I think, September time. A few retailers seem to be starting to clear/ tidy up stock now.

January sales don't seem to be what they used to be.

I spotted that Specialized had brought out their 2015 bikes earlier this week, might be worth a look.
