Anywhere except perhaps the Fens. I'm particularly fond of Wales (nearly all of it), Shropshire, Devon and Cornwall, Scotland...and most parts between. Traffic in the Home Counties can get a bit wearing.

do you really mean this? I've always found Berkshire to be very hard work. If you really do mean it, I'd love to know more.

I do agree, this has to be the most under-rated area of Britain. I have mountain biked there and loved it, I imagine the road riding is superb too.

some good cycling around the fylde coast. Pancake flat, many quiet roads passing through little hamlets and some enjoyable countryside
