Ok, following on from the "worst" thread, let's be a bit more positive!

The best film I've seen in recent years is "The Lives Of Others"

Over to you...

^ Liked that a lot.

It appeared in the "worst" thread but I love Glengarry, Glenross. Not sure what would be my best ever but hoping for lots of ideas to stick on the lovefilm rental list please, thankyou.

Flying Monkey won't agree with this; but "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" must be one of the funniest films I've ever seen. Good light hearted entertainment, which in my book makes it a good film.

I think you must have recommended Ulee's Gold before as it's on my list but lovefilm can't get hold of it. They haven't got A Sunday in Hell either.

I recently watched this having had the dvd for years and not bothering, got to say cinematically it was excellent, but overall, my opinion was that it was utter dross, maybe I just dont "GET" it.

My favourite movies are Donnie Darko (I have a mild obsession with this movie), The Dark Crystal, Henry: Portrait of a serial killer and Battle Royale I think.

Sin City is a brilliant film. My mate once gave it 10 minutes and gave up!
