Got loads but one that has just popped into my head and not seen for years was Restless Natives. My be my memory of youth clouding my judgement but I thought is was brilliant.

For opening scenes The War with Kevin Costner and Elijah Wood. The long tracking shot around and up the tree.

Abel Gance's Napoleon. I've never managed to see the film but the clips I've seen over the last 30 years mean I'm still looking to buy a copy.

I'm a sucker for long shots so Much Ado About Nothing. The '93 Brannah version. Brilliant script (the author was a bit good) and some inspired casting. But the final scene, the party. Through the house, the courtyard, into the garden then up and away to see the party from above just brilliant. The first time it I had to rewind it and watch it again to see if there were any joins but no it was 1 take as far as I can see. I hope no-one tells me different and it was cleverly edited  .

I went to local village music festival at the weekend and saw local big band. The played Brazil and I got goose bumps thinking of Jonathan Pryce flying through the clouds chasing his dream woman/angel Jill Layton. I bought the Criterion version with the awful US happy ending version. Worth seeing only to put Gilliam's vision into perspective and show it for it's true genius.

Juno is a wonderful film.

Watched Source Code last nitre... not a bad Twilight Zone type of film.

I also watched Source Code last night. I was a little skeptical as after watching the hugely overrated Inception I have been put off these types of films somewhat as I found that film dire. However I enjoyed Source Code it was a decent action/sci-fi film that was easy to understand and was not to long.

I will try Juno, never seen that before.

Although Inception wasn't too bad... the end was obvious right from the start, a bit like Existenz. And yes, I too was chuffed that Source Code was a sensible 90ish minutes. Films are getting far too long these days.

If you like long tracking shots, you should check out the last 15 mins of Children of Men. Regardless whether you like the film, the end scene is wonderful. Yes, I know that in fact it has been edited together and isn't in fact one take, but you really can't tell.

Not much of a film buff, but

Point Break (swayze and reeves on top form)
Stakeout
Repoman (west coast hardcore soundtrack - directed by the bloke that used to introduce arty films on bbc2. The original's good too, but have forgotten its name)
Badlands
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Betty Blue
Breakfast Club
Heaven's Gate (never entirely sure why this was so universally panned)
Summer with Monica

A film I would like to see is "The Discovery of Heaven" with Stephen Fry and Greg ? (Emma Thompson's husband). Haven't managed to track a copy down. Any one seen it?

"Does Barry Manilow know you raid his wardrobe". LOl great line in that film
