I'm using a Brittany Ferries service from Portsmouth ferry port and cycling from the station, I reckon I'll have about 15 mins to get there to check in on time. Anyone know the best route and station to get off at?

Fratton (do not, whatever you do, see 'Portsmouth Harbour' and think that's the right station, because it isn't, not for the Ferry Port). Exit the station from platform one/ticket office side, go to the end of the road, where you'll want to go right. That junction is actually left turn only, so use the cycle path on the bridge & the ped crossing there to get going the right way. Straight on from there until Kingston Crescent junction (streetview here), where you make a left. Bear left at the next junction, there's an underpass and a couple of crossings that will leave you right in front of the ferry port entrance. It's a couple of miles, so I'd allow more time than fifteen minutes if you can.

Edit: With a bike, remember you want the car lanes. The staff are pretty good at looking after cyclists.

Portsmouth City station is nearer, outside of the station turn left into Stanhope road at the next roundabout the ferry port is signed posted
Do you mean Portsmouth and Southsea? But won't that take you via the A3 and the start of the M275? I'd go with StuAff's route.

Yes, but...
(a) Fratton's five minutes up the line. Wipes out the advantage of the slightly smaller distance from P&S, and OP suggests he may not have much time to make check in.
(b) Portsmouth & Southsea is a pain to exit with a bike- lift, then automatic barriers. Fratton- two lifts and a footbridge, but no barriers and quieter roads afterwards. If you stop at P & S and if you don't want to play with the traffic around Market Way- and you don't if you have an ounce of sense- you'll end up following much the same route I outlined above. The busiest roads in the city (or fiddly cycle lanes & dodging suicidal peds), or a simple straightforward route. Your choice.

I did this last summer got off at "Portsmouth and Southsea", I did not have much time and found the route convoluted (also had a crap map) , I made it (approx 15 mins), but had the sweat on.
I went to check in at the terminal but did not need to as had a booking number(e ticket) , so I could of cycled straight to the gate.

Either could work.....

From the Portsmouth and Southsea station, you can nip down to the Cathedral and then off road path to the Dockyard, and follow the Dockyard wall and cycle path to the Ferry (MArket Way, Hope Street and Flathouse Road, but as said the station access is not brilliant

From Fratton Station, you can do Fratton Road and Kings Crescent, there is a cycle facility under big A3 junction, but can have a few drunks and yobs in the evenings. FRatton Station does have steps or a lift if you get off on the some platforms!

There is a map here

As could Portsmouth Harbour really. As long as you're aware it's 'the Harbour' does not = the Ferry Port. It's not quite the closest, but it some way makes the navigation easier as you just keep the sea to your left. From memory the route is sign posted once you're heading the general direction. 15mins sounds a bit close tho...

15minutes from Portsmouth and Southsea is pushing it - tried for the 2030 boat for St Malo three times over the years with a slightly better window 30-40mins - but the train from London always conspired to give me around 15mins - boat to Caen at 2130 . Solved it eventually by leaving work at lunchtime

Remember being "Officer of the Watch" at Haslar Hospital.

Monday night was "Joining night" when all the new staff joined. There were always at least a couple who took the Isle of Wight Ferry rather than the Gosport Ferry, and wondered why they could not find the Hospital!

Just an aside, I got totally lost between the ferry port and Fratton, so read the route advice carefully.

Brittany ferries recommend 45 minutes. I agree that it's better to go before the Southern Trains curfew on bikes on trains out of London. Especially as the number of spaces for bikes is pretty limited (IIRC three) and I don't think you can reserve a place - but I could be wrong on that.

Southern don't do bike reservations, but a MkI Winning Smile and a touch of being sensible should see you OK. It's officially two bikes per set of four carriages, but I've seen half a dozen. The bike space is by the Tardis disabled access loo, in carriage 3 or 2, depending on which way the train is pointing - look for the red stripes either side of the carriage doors.

@Polite, what time are you travelling?
