You cant be doing it right then.
I got 2 bikes, track bike and normal road fixed, in the back of my Mums Pug 206.
I also get my TT bike in the back of it no problem.
And my road fixed has also gone into the back of my GFs Clio.

All with just taking off the front wheel.

Joe is 3ft 4in though Ranger and rides a toddlers bike.... He could fit more in his mums 206 but he has to save space for his booster seat.

Its why they call him "Wee Joe". xx(

Hmm...interesting that a lot of you say that the Yaris is a good car - we shall have to give it a spin and see what it's like.

Also, anyone know anything about 2nd hand VW Golf's? It's something we are also considering - however, they seem quite expensive?

I had MK2 and MK3 golfs - very good cars.

Then got a MK4 GTi. What a total pile of cack. They really lost the build and design plot with that one, and VW were a nightmare to deal with on all occasions. Never again.

Dunno what the latest is like, but was reading a What Car? in the chinkie the other night, and they said that such was the depreciation on the new GTi, it was a very good used buy and a hoot to rag around.

.....and the Daihatsu Charade, which is our little car. It's great.

Ive hired Charades and the Yaris when working in Cyprus, and despite the abuse they've had (holidaymakers), they both go well...surprisingly fast and fun to drive.

Maybe a little bigger than you were looking for, the Focus ? I love mine. 1.6 100bhp (or is it PS) is quick on the pickup, but a bit thirsty. I should have maybe gone for the Zetec or similar. Otherwise, a nice car, roomy on the inside etc etc.

Avoid VW Golf Mk4s as Bigtwin says. They were plagued with difficulties and several models had recalls. The biggest problem affecting small VWs of this period of 98-02 (this includes the Polo) was the gearbox which was renowned for failing.
