I'm going round in circles here!!

Was going to go 4000S or 4 Seasons then read they weren't ideal commuter tyres.

M+, Durano, Bontrager hardcase for commuting

Something less resilient but faster rolling for sportives

Maybe you need two lots of tyres ;)

On your spare set of wheels, naturally :-)

If you want more puncture protection, then the Schwalbe Durano Plus is very good. Mine have been cut to schreds on the commute, but none of the glass shards have got through the smart guard yet. There is lots of glass on a section of my commute.

Another vote for the Durano Plus here too, had them on the commuter all through last year, moved to Marathon + for a bit of tread in the winter, will put the Durano's back on pretty soon now. No puncture issues so far and I liked them. I've also had Lugano's, found them a bit slippier and didn't inspire confidence when it got moist.

As a guide, my set of GP4000S are beyond 3000 miles now and there's plenty of rubber left yet.

4 Seasons are longer lasting.

I'd be delighted if I actually cycled 3000 miles!!!

My wife said just leave the ones on I have, I never bloody cycle so what's the point!!

I use GP4000's 25cm on both my road bikes which I use for both commuting and weekend rides. Good fast tyres and I've never had any problems with punctures.

My commute is mainly rural roads.

Conti 4 seasons are very durable, admittedly I dont commute in mine as they don't do a Brompton version, but unhappily would based on my experience on weekend road bike riding.

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Schwalbe Lugano / Vittoria Rubino for the commute.

GP4000s for events.

Commuting ruins the wheels with potholed roads and bad weather; I'd suggest 2 sets of wheels - I run Shimano R501's with commuting tyres on and swap them round.
