I called into Planet X a short while back, the Pro Carbons looked very nice indeed, however the Holdsworth bikes looked stunning in the flesh.

Buy a good Aluminium frame, not a cheaper Carbon frame.

I have a custom made carbon road bike I'm looking to sell for around £900 - it's an absolute beaut - weighs in about 7kg with campagnolo centaur parts. Let me now if interested and sorry if this is considered spamming!!!

As long as I breathe, I attack.
I think i might just be looking to spend money ,i doubt i would notice the 3-400 g in any meaningful way , nowt wrong with what i have in reality .I think a frame respray would be a cheaper and more useful option.
I am thinking of rattle canning the commuter or plastic dip/coat over summer shutdown .

There is no point buying a carbon bike for a charity bike ride, only to have it as a forgotten museum relic after. The price premium over aluminium immediately negates your demand for "value".

Anyway I wonder if he actually bought anything.....
