Hit a sharp rock tonight and had a blowout. There is now a small tear in the tyre. What's the best way to repair a small hole? Or should I just buy a new tyre? This tyre has done about 100 miles, so still quite new.

Loch side.
A tyre boot. Make one from a piece of HDPE milk bottle and duct tape it into place.

It Depends - do you literally mean a puncture hole? Or has it become a Gash that has ripped through the puncture belt/casing? - a long deep cut risks opening further during inflation of high pressures and general riding than an isolated hole.

Yes literally a puncture hole, just an isolated little hole. It's where the rock pierced the tyre.

I got a cut from a piece of glass whilst touring, stuck a normal puncture patch on the inside of the tyre thinking "I'll replace that when I get a chance" Several years (and a few thousand miles) later it's still there.
