Best way to tell if you need another bike?

Found a good way to check if another bike is needed.

The pseudocode is

if you have enough space for more bikes {
    if your partner will leave you if you got another bike {
        You have enough bikes / Being single isn't so bad, get another bike.
    } else {
        Get another bike.
    }
} else {
    Aye you do, you just need to rearrange and throw stuff out. Who needs a sofa anyway? Get another bike.

I think the original formula is still the most reliable:
Number of bikes needed = x+1
Where x is equal to the number currently owned.
It's just simple mathematics.

A) can you justify it to the wife?
If you can't justify to the wife, is there somewhere you can hide it where she won't find it?
If the answer to those 2 questions is no, then highly unlikely

The "Trigger's Broom" strategy is quite effective.

One year, new wheels, next new chainset, new gears, new frameset etc
The only item I retain tends to be the saddle.

Done this a couple of times - now have 4 bikes + parts
