Angus and Malcolm Young hail from Glasgow.
Bon Scott was born in Forfar and lived in Kirriemuir until his family moved to Australia.
"Bonfest" is held every year in Kirriemuir, with Bon AC/DC tributes bands appearing. This year's appearance on the Friday night by the Italian band Buon Scotch was brilliant - look for it on youtube, and you'll see me in the crowd drinking beer and giving it large I think they are due back next year, so I'll defoo be going again. Not that I won't go if they are not, mind, as I go every year. This year's event was held over 2 days, with a German band headlining the weekend on Saturday. They were ok, but nothing close to Buon Scotch. There was also another Italian tribute band, with a female lead singer, who played a late night spot on Saturday who were also damned good. I may have drunk a few beers...
