Quite a nice evening after work yesterday.
Had a ride planned with my mate from 6:30. Obviously the sun was due to set not too long after so opted to dress accordingly.
Base layer, winter jersey and waterproof top as a shell. Coupled with my poor fitting Castelli Nanoflex bib tights.
Some pleasant riding for the first hour until the sun went down. Felt a bit of cold later, mainly feet (no overboots) and finger ends. Also suffered with cold knees and upper thighs to the stage where it became a bit torturous.

Arriving home and struggling to get the tights off confirmed the Castelli tights were too damned small. (my fault during the ordering process.

Been reading reviews and quite liking the look of the dhb Classic Thermal tights over at Wiggle.
Anyone own a pair and recommend them? fit/comfort/warmth?

Anecdotally I’ve heard DHB are a bit on the small side. I’ve personally found them a bit snug but no different from most. I’ve got a set of Flashlight bib tights which are snug but the flashlight jersey I picked up recently is spot on, but I like a slimmer fit.

I guess you could call them ‘aero’ fit?

Bib tights? You're in Yorkshire. I commuted home in shorts today.

Oh, and I rate Galibier ones - good value and sizing.

Shorts? Tha’ soft West Ridin’ jessie. I wore mi’ bib thong all’t’way o’er t’moor ‘n’ up Rosedale Chimbly - twice, mind thi’ - in’t’ pitch black for t’ battery ‘ad gone flat on mi miner’s lamp I use as a cycling appendage ( mi father alus towd us ‘waste not want not, or tha’ll get a thick ear). And no co-it either (ah kid were using it on t’ bed cos is youngest has a touch o’ diphtheria)

I have a pair of DHB bibs, large, new, never worn. Been sat in a cupboard for a few years. I guess you'd call them Classic and they're warm enough. If you want them then make me an offer.

Castelli stuff is waaaay too small, I'm a medium yet my only Castelli jersey is an XXL.

Dhb stuff is perfectly sized and their Roubaix 3/4 bibs are excellent and durable.

Another good one is Lusso, their bib shorts won a magazine test review. Made in Radcliffe, Manchester too. I've only ever had two pairs of Lusso longs in 30 years of cycling, they are very good indeed.
