Hi,
I am currently working on developing an alternative solution to the standardized bicycle lock as part of my product design degree. As a keen cyclist myself i know all too well the sinking felling when you realize your bike has been stolen and i hope to create a solution that will help prevent others experiencing the same thing.

I would be very grateful if you could take a moment to fill in the two question servey below.
And any other impute would be much appreciated!

THANKS!

I like - short.

Well I tried, but as the simple fact is I don't use any lock, as I don't trust any lock enough to reliably secure the bike and components from theft, I couldn't participate in the survey!

Me too. No option for "I have a Brompton and take it with me"

What we need is a reinforced D-cable that transports itself

I've got a D lock and a cable lock and a reinforced cable lock and I transport them in a bag and wrapped around the frame and in a bracket supplied with the lock.

If only I had a chain, I think I'd have ticked everything.

I suppose knowing what most lock their bikes with can help quite a lot in designing a bike stand?
