Bicycles on TV

Has anyone else noticed that if ever there is an outdoor establishing shot on a TV programme, and a bicycle is reasonably prominent in it, they generally add in a bicycle bell sound effect?

How many bicycle bells do you ever hear in real life, I mean real "Vicar's Wife" bicycle bells?

It's those bleedin' accordions that get me whenever they do France! Never noticed the bike bells thing though. I will now though....

The background music editors are sometimes quite subversive too - I remember a driving test programme a while ago, where one woman had failed again and was very upset about it, and the background music was 'Who's Gonna Drive You Home Tonight?' by The Cars. 8-)
