Big Apple Tyres - Drive

Hi All,

My husband asked me to ask, is the 'Drive' direction on the Schwalbe Big Apple tyre the same as the 'rotate' direction on other tyres? He assumes yes but thought he better double check!

Don't know is my answer... not knowing that particular tyre. I would guess that your husband is correct though and the arrow points in the direction of travel... it wouldn't make sense to me otherwise.

The "Drive --->" on my Schwabe tires points in the direction of rotation. I'd imagine the Big Apple's would be the same.

I don't own any big apples, but I do have a selection of other Schwalbe tyres on a selection of bikes. I've always assumed that the arrow was meant to point in the direction the tyre was to rotate, even though some say "drive" and some say "rotation".

Nothing awful will happen if it points the wrong way, though. (I'm blowed if after I've reassembled the back end of a Brompton I'm going to do it all over again just because I've put the tyre on "backwards").

Well that seems to be a general consensus that 'drive' is the same as 'rotation'. Thanks all!
