Big day tomorrow - Back on the road bike !!

Back on the road bike after 3 months and 1600 miles on the MTB. Be interesting to see if my fitness has improved after the MTB, cause it has been bloody hard work.

Really looking forward to it, some days the MTB has been torture !

I've spent all winter on the fixed, I'm planning to use the geared bike for the first time since the clocks changed at the end of October on next Sundays club ride, I recon it might be an interesting morning.

Well it was weird, really weird, like riding a razor blade, it was so thin ! but fast again !!!

Today it is -20 C and we got about an inch of snow.
If you get the road bike out after the snow is gone but before the roads have been cleaned of all the sand and gravel used in the winter bad things happen. A mid march road bike blast last year cost me the skin on my right knee and a carbon fiber water-bottle cage.

Not sure about you, but I wouldn't want to be riding a road bike in that.

Although I was not at the airport today next week we are considering a trip to Mexico (it is either a week skiing in Banff or a all inclusive beach resort). I did ride my mountain bike today.
