Another question please.

I need to change the bike cables, is it a difficult job?

Wilko's do them for a couple of quid each, and they do the job... replacing them is a simple case of putting them on in the opposite way you took the old ones off, with a bit of grease so you don't have 'metal on metal' in the cable outers.

Have a search on youtube... there's bound to be a vid specific to your shifters... and brakes are pretty straight forward.

Just be aware that brake and gear cables are usually different diameters -
Brake cables have 5mm outer and 1.5mm inner cable.
Gear cables have 4mm outer and 1.2mm inner cable.

Oh and make sure you buy the correct nipple (ooer!) -

wilkos gear cable have the two different nipples on each end, so just cut of the one you don't want.

as for outers, I use the same regardless of whether it's gear or brake cable inside with no issues.

Asda sell them cheap as chips double nippled. Open 24 hours, just wish I could buy Brompton cables there.
