Bike Cleaning for winter weather especially for salt

i use Fenwicks to clean all of my bike. Neat on the chain and a 10 to 1 solution in a pressure garden spray bottle thing. Just spray over the whole bike and leave while i clean the chain. A quick respray and move the really mucky stuff with a brush and then rinse off.

I rode on Thursday last week in fairly misty wet conditions, was really cold by the time i got home so put the bike away without cleaning it. went to ride on Saturday and the chain had stiff links!! Gonna be really careful from now on until all the salt and grit has been washed away!

baby wipes, worth a try

We've just had our first grand-child so there's plenty of baby wipes about - I think I'll have to pinch a few now !
