Bike fitting

I've used a couple of places within a ride from you for bike fit. Which one I would reccomend would depend upon how deep your pockets are

Sigma Sports in Hampton (BG Fit)
Ruslip Concept Store (BG Fit)
Freespeed Acton (Retul Bike Fit)

I know where the top two are and i know Acton, whats better BG or Retul

I think retul is better, in fact specialized seem to think so and have just brought the company.. lol
But it is more expensive

Im just wondering why doesnt Evans and Cycle surgery offer bike fitting, considering there size and that.

What do you call expensive, I want to go for a fitting & the bike shop I bought mine from charge £100 is this reasonable? Or does anyone know anywhere in the Sheffield/Rotherham/Doncaster area that is likely to be cheaper?

£100 is pretty cheap imho what type of fit is this... I would be surprised if its a Retul

OP sorry to hi-jack the thread but at least it's on topic, I didn't know what Retul is/was so Google'd, but I suspect you are right V, when I asked all they said was they have a guy come in 2 days a week & it takes 2-3 hours, I presumed that he was just an experienced biker.

I would find out if they have a trained bike fitter, and what the process is. It can be a term for looking at how you ride and adjusting your saddle.. BG Fit, Retul and other bike fits have a defined process which they follow and this takes a decent amount of time.
Its well worth getting done though imho

Ive been suffering from dodgy knees - so have booked a bike fit at pearsons after reading this post.

Can anyone recommend them??

Yeah, I had a fit and pearsons over a year ago and a follow up this year

Each time great service, friendly staff and I would consider it to be a worthwhile thing to do.

The team are exceptionally professional and are very good at helping to solve problems

My knee issues were sorted as my cleat position was wrong but they made lots of other tweaks too

I would recommend them to anyone

I have not used them myself though as I did a basic fit myself and tweaked along the way.

Thanks Paul - Ive booked a fitting in - hopefully will solve my knees. Only went for the bike fit thou for £105 & not the £200 one.
