Bike horizontal ceiling storage question

Here is the actual photo of cables. They are naked, tightened, 3 of them and about 1 cm distant from the bar. My concern was they would loose and damage but anyway I think it would not be a good idea to press them against bar with 15 kg g-force.

they'll be fine. you're over thinking it.

I bought this bike hoist from Lidl for under a tenner, it certainly holds the cycle above my head and so far utterly reliable.

I bought the same. I have two issues.
It is easy to hook at the handlebar. In the rear, do you hook it in to the seat?
Rolling mechanism does not work well, it often slips out of the wheels. Perhaps it is not aligned well?

Hook the handlebar first and as I have a fitted rear carrier I hook this too. Never had a problem with the pulleys cord has never come out of the location. Perhaps you need to align the pulleys easily done with 5mm spanner?
