Bike light dilemma - Did I do the right thing?

Just maybe he'd left them on while he was in the shop...the lights being on would make it easier for the owner to see his bike was still there, i do that sometimes.

He was probably nervously watching you Sara

Ha ha ...... well my son was wearing his ju jitsu kit as well, so he wouldn't have dared approach!

I've switched off a bike light before in the centre of town in a row of bike racks ... however the light had been removed by the time I got back to my bike locked up next to it an hour later. I wouldn't bother if the bike wasn't locked up and looked as though it was just propped up outside a shop.
